Okay, friends, let's talk dip. I'm a sucker for a good ranch, but sometimes the traditional stuff can feel a little... heavy, you know? That's why I've been making this ridiculously easy and yummy Low-Fat Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip, and honestly, I'm hooked!

Carrot and celery sticks in a wooden bowl of creamy dip with green herbs. White wooden table setting evokes a fresh, appetizing mood.

Seriously, if you're looking for something creamy, flavorful, and won't make you feel like you need a nap afterward, you HAVE to try this. The base is just blended low-fat cottage cheese and a dollop of non-fat Greek yogurt. Sounds healthy, right? But trust me, the magic happens when you stir in your favorite ranch seasoning. Boom! Instant ranch goodness, but way lighter.

Wanna whip some up?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of low-fat cottage cheese (I like Good Culture)

  • About 1/4 cup of non-fat plain Greek yogurt (if you don't have this on hand, don't worry about it-just add a touch more cottage cheese)

  • A couple of tablespoons of your go-to ranch seasoning

  • A pinch of salt and pepper (taste as you go!)

  • Splash of milk of choice or water to thin it out

Directions:

  1. Add cottage cheese and Greek yogurt into a blender or food processor and blend it up until it's smooth and creamy. Add a splash of water or non dairy milk if you need to thin it out.

  2. Scoop it into a bowl and stir in your ranch seasoning. Add 1 Tablespoon at a time as different brands have different strengths. I usually end up with 2 tablespoons per cup of cottage cheese. Feel free to adjust to your liking!

  3. Give it a taste and add a little salt and pepper if it needs it.

  4. If it's too thick, just stir in a tiny bit of milk of choice or water until it's the perfect dipping consistency.

  5. Pop it in the fridge for a bit if you want it nice and cold, but honestly, sometimes I just dive right in!

Seriously, this dip is a game-changer. You know what takes it to the next level? Adding some fresh dill if you have it! Dip your bell peppers, carrots, or other tasty veggies and get a good dose of protein at the same time! Go ahead, whip up a batch and enjoy!
